You're reading: Ten Ukraine-based IT companies make it on list of world’s best tech outsourcers

Ten Ukrainian information technology companies have won places on the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals annual list of top tech firms, The Global Outsourcing 100.

Six of the 10 software developers are subsidiaries of international tech companies that have research and development offices in Ukraine. The other four are local IT firms.

Seven of the companies Luxoft, Eleks, SoftServe, Miratech, Intectics, TEAM International Services, and Softjourn – also made it onto the list last year. The Ukrainian-based newcomers this year are Ciklum, EPAM Systems and Sigma Software.

The list was posted on the IAOP’s website (www.iaop.org) on Feb. 16.

Ciklum’s chief operating officer, Sam Kingston, told the Kyiv Post he was proud Ciklum has been recognized as being among the world’s most distinguished outsourcing service providers.

“This demonstrates the sustainable competitive advantages that Ukrainian companies have in the rapidly growing global IT services market,” Kingston said.

“The companies for the Global Outsourcing list are reviewed and selected by an independent panel of experts from companies such as General Electric, Thomson Reuters or multinational mining giant Rio Tinto,” Kingston said. “Their opinion and appraisal are extremely valuable, especially for IT companies, where competition is strong.”

AVentures managing partner Andrey Kolodyuk told the Kyiv Post that the list is evidence that next year “there will be more and more Ukrainian IT companies” recognized by the world’s experts.

“That tells the world that (U.S. billionaire George) Soros was right to invest in the IT sector in Ukraine,” Kolodyuk told the Kyiv Post. “Other global players haven’t invested yet, but it’s high time. (They should invest now), while it’s not too late.”

The IAOP list’s the world’s hundred best IT companies in alphabetical order. The companies are assessed according to four important criteria: size and growth, delivery excellence, programs for innovation, and corporate social responsibility.

An updated list, with the companies listed according to the assessment criteria, is to be published in the April 2016 issue of Fortune magazine.

This is the 11th time the IAOP has compiled its list, which is designed to help customers select the best IT outsourcing companies with which to do business.
