Euronews: Outlawing the promotion of homosexuality is a step closer in Ukraine

Ukraine’s parliament has taken the first step towards making it illegal to promote homosexuality as a way of life.

The draft bill, which has passed its first reading, says this constitutes a threat to national security. Prison terms of up to five years are suggested. Activists gathered outside to protest against the bill’s approval.
