Today may be Christmas but one Gaston County man plans to celebrate the holiday in January in the Ukraine.

Terry Usery will make his seventh trip to the village of Holosono on Jan. 2, just in time for a Ukrainian Christmas.

Usery will spend 10 days in the village as part of a six-person mission team. The volunteers, including people from around North Carolina, will bring gifts to village children and help wherever they’re needed.
