New York Times: Ousted Yanukovych flees to unknown location as acting authorities accuse him of mass murder

Viktor Yanukovych, who served two terms in prison as a young man, got elected president of Ukraine and took the oath of office on Feb. 25, 2010. Now he is on the run, accused of ordering the mass murders of EuroMaidan protesters in January and February.

Ukraine’s acting interior minister said on Monday that authorities were in pursuit of the ousted president, Viktor F. Yanukovych, who was believed to be in Crimea in the south of the country, and that he would be arrested on charges of mass murder in the killings of dozens of anti-government protesters last week.
