You're reading: Aeroflot promises to transport passengers who bought tickets for codeshare flights with AeroSvit

Moscow - Aeroflot will carry all passengers who bought tickets for the codeshare flights of Aeroflot and Ukraine's AeroSvit before January 4 inclusive, regardless of the date of flights, Aeroflot Director General Vitaly Saveliev has promised.

“We will transport everybody who bought tickets before January 4 inclusive on any date,” he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

He added that Aeroflot from January 5 stopped the sale [of tickets for codeshare flights with the Ukrainian carrier] until the situation is clarified.


The Economic Court of Kyiv region on December 29, 2012 announced the launch of proceedings on the bankruptcy of private JSC AeroSvit, which had faced financial difficulties.


AeroSvit in a statement on January 4 emphasized that the company is not bankrupt, it would not stop operations, it is fulfilling its functions in full, including measures to ensure flight safety.


As of 0900 local time on January 8, according to Boryspil airport, the company had canceled eight arrival flights and nine departure flights.
