Brussels – Brussels is expecting to see progress in three spheres in Ukraine – the system of justice, parliamentary elections, and reforms, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton has said.

“We would like to see progress in three spheres – [the elimination of] selective justice, the holding of free and fair parliamentary elections on October 28, and the resumption of suspended reforms on the joint agenda of Ukraine and the EU,” she said while reporting on foreign policy of the European Union at a plenary session of the European Parliament.

While speaking about the Eastern Partnership, Ashton mentioned relations with Moldova.

“When I look at this part of the world, I’m glad to see what’s going on in Moldova,” Ashton said.

She added that the EU would keep taking part in the 5+2 format dialogue to settle the Transdniestrian conflict.
