St. Petersburg - The director of Russia's Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, has said he is convinced that Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky will be held to account sooner or later.

“History gives us laws. And laws, for their part, require us to
conduct investigations in strict compliance with Russian legislation and
the norms of international law. Avakov and Kolomoisky will not be able
to escape. It is a small world, and sooner or later they will be held to
account in line with the norms of international law,” he said at a
session of the Investigative Committee’s board in St. Petersburg on
Thursday, July 24.

Bastrykin said earlier that all those responsible for carrying out
strikes against Ukraine’s civilian population would be prosecuted as
well.
