Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed the Kyiv authorities to urgently resolve all problems related to the completion of the preparation of the Oleksandrivska Clinical Hospital for Euro 2012.

The head of government announced this during an event marking Journalist Day on June 6, reads a statement posted on the Web site of the Cabinet of Ministers.

He said that he had given a respective instruction to Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov after reports in the media about the hospital not being ready to receive fans during the European football championship.

"Today I read in the media that the Oleksandrivska Hospital is shameful for Ukraine. And I was sick at heart. I immediately sent Popov there. I told him: ‘Go there now and check it. You should have gone there to look.’ And if anything really is not completed there, it must be finished. We will definitely fix everything. There are no questions here," Azarov said.

TSN (1+1 Channel) reported earlier that patients would be discharged from the Oleksandrivska Hospital in Kyiv from June 7. The Oleksandrivska Hospital was chosen the main medical institution for Euro 2012 fans in Kyiv.
