Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that Russia is still reluctant to revise its contracts on natural gas supplies with Ukraine.

“Russia’s position is very simple – the 2009 agreement is signed, its
duration is 10 years, and everything has been discussed: the price of
gas, the cost of transit, and supplies,” the premier said during a
hotline conference with the readers of the Komsomolskaya Pravda v
Ukraine newspaper in Kyiv on Monday.

“We have halved gas consumption – this is our answer to our partners,” he said.
