Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov will visit the World Economic Forum in Davos after holding a government meeting in Kyiv.

“The visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos will take place at the request of the Ukrainian president. The prime minister will leave right after the cabinet meeting on Wednesday,” Azarov’s press officer Vitaliy Lukyanchenko said.

Lukyanchenko also said that there are no plans to reschedule the government meeting despite the events in Kyiv.

“The events in Kyiv consist in the fact that some group of extremists is trying to force its will on the government and the people. This group of extremists is active on an area of 3,000 square meters. The other part of the country is living according to the law,” Lukyanchenko said.
