Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that Ukraine getting into the top 100 countries in the Doing Business rating of the World Bank is quite realistic.

“I think this task is quite realistic,” he said at a meeting with foreign investors in Kyiv on Friday, Jan.18.

The PM said the country’s government intends to continue the deregulation and simplification of licensing procedures to create favorable conditions for businesses in the country.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said at a meeting of the Economic Reform Committee on January 17 that Ukraine should work on deregulation and the simplification of issuing permits in order to rank among the top 100 countries in the Doing Business rating of the World Bank. He added that in 2012 Ukraine improved its position by 15 points, ranking it 137th in the World Bank’s Doing Business rating.
