The current gas supply contract between Ukraine and Russia will be severed sooner or later, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

"Ukraine will not have this contract forever. We will sever it one day, and therefore it is better to agree sooner or later upon appropriate components of a new contract," Azarov said on Shuster Live TV program on Friday in commenting on outcomes of his recent talks with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
