The Vystavkovy Tsentr subway station of Kyiv Metropoliten will be opened on Dec. 27, 2011, according to Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov.

"We’ve agreed that on Dec. 27 the station will start working and start servicing its first passengers, and it will service people as normal from Dec. 27," he told the press after visiting the construction site of the station in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Azarov also said during the inspection he discussed technical solutions that will allow the commissioning another two stations of the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska subway line in 2012.

"We’ve have a 25-kilometer subway line," he said. He added that the city electric train circle line would be opened on Oct. 4.

The Vystavkovy Tsentr subway station would be the fiftieth station of Kyiv’s subway.

Its commissioning will allow crossing Kyiv from north to south in less than one hour and will create favorable conditions for servicing residents and city guests and provide for the proper level of hosting the Euro 2012 European football championship in Ukraine.
