Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, at a meeting with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, has described the situation with the dispersal of the Euromaidan rally on the night of November 30 as a provocation, Channel 5 reported.

“There were no students on the square, well-trained provocateurs were there. This, however, is not an excuse for the violence of the police,” the premier said.

“Around 2,500 militants are acting in Kyiv as agents provocateurs to initiate resistance with the police. The government is not using force, while the opposition does,” Azarov said.
