MOSCOW, Feb. 27 – In a story Sunday about the Pole Vault Stars meet in Donetsk, Ukraine, The Associated Press reported incorrectly that American pole vaulter Jeff Hartwig cleared 5.95 meters (19 feet, 6 1/4 inches), based on a figure from the Russian ITAR-Tass news agency. Hartwig cleared 6.00 meters (19-8 1/4), setting a U.S. national record.
