The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) will send its monitoring mission to the elections in Ukraine, said Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Ivan Popesku, a member of the Regions Party faction in Ukraine's parliament.

Popesku said that Kyiv had asked international organizations to send missions to monitor the parliamentary elections in the country, the press service of the Regions Party reported on Tuesday.

“The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) will send a mission lead by one of its vice-presidents. BSEC Secretary General Kyrylo Tretiak is also coming,” the politician said.

The elections to the Verkhovna Rada are scheduled for October 28.
