You're reading: Central Election Commission registers 111 self-nominees in single-seat constituencies in Ukraine

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine at its meeting on Monday, Aug. 13, registered 111 self-nominees as candidates for people's deputies in single-member constituencies.

The CEC registered non-partisan MP Vitaliy Chudnovsky, who was
earlier a member of the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko-Batkivschyna faction,
as a parliamentary candidate in constituency No. 90 (Kyiv region).

Head of the Sumy Regional Administration Vasyl Salyhin was registered
as a parliamentary candidate in constituency No. 173 (Kharkiv region).

World swimming champion Denys Sylantyev was registered as a candidate in constituency No. 217 (Kyiv).

The elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are scheduled for October 28.
