Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland has called on the Ukrainian government to hold a thorough investigation into the dispersal of the Euromaidan rally on the night of November 30.
“All violence has to be stopped. All sides have to do the utmost for this,” he told journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He said that all sides have to trust the results of the investigation.
CoE Secretary General also noted that during his visit to Kyiv he saw that many people are interested in exaggerating the situation in the country.
“I hope all sides realize that the failure to return the situation to a political course would have very serious consequences,” he said.
