You're reading: Court leaves Lutsenko in custody

Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has refused to release former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko from custody.

Presiding Judge Serhiy Vovk announced this decision on Monday.

Today Ihor Balyk, a defense lawyer for Yuriy Lutsenko, has again asked the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv to release his client from custody. The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv also has refused to allow Hennadiy Moskal to act as a lawyer for Yuriy Lutsenko.

Judge Serhiy Vovk said that a respective petition had been rejected as premature.
