The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has rejected a request by former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko's lawyers for him to be allowed to return to the courtroom.

After a break in proceedings, Lutsenko’s defense asked the court allow the ex-minister to return to the courtroom. The prosecutors didn’t object, but the court rejected the petition.

The court announced that its sitting will last until 1600 on Thursday.

As reported, the judge decided to remove Lutsenko from the courtroom for one day due to the defendant’s statements with respect to the court.
