Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has withdrawn lawyer Oleh Korol from the defense of former Head of the State Commission for Financial Service Markets Regulation Vasyl Volha.

"The judge satisfied a petition of the investigator from the Prosecutor General’s Office and withdrew me, the defender, from the case. The formulation was simple, according to it, Oleh Korol was properly informed about the dates of interrogations, but he never attended them," Korol said on Monday, after the court hearing.

He stressed that he was planning to defend his right to defend Volha by all legal means. The lawyer did not mention what exactly he would do.

Korol stated that Volha remained without a lawyer whom he trusts, and added that he might be forced to accept another defense lawyer.
