You're reading: Deputies from Sovereign European Ukraine to send Hr 16 million to Ukrainian Army

 The representatives of the group of MPs "Sovereign European Ukraine" has decided to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with financial aid of Hr 16 million. 

MP and member of the Sovereign European Ukraine group Ihor Yeremeyev said on his Facebook page on Tuesday that the initiative to transfer the money to Ukrainian Army had been supported by seven MPs: Volodymyr Lytvyn, Stepan Ivakhiv, Serhiy Martyniak, Serhiy Labaziuk, Yaroslav Moskalenko, Ivan Fursin and Ihor Yeremeyev himself.

“Today, in the Verkhovna Rada, the Defense Minister of Ukraine Ihor Teniukh has addressed the Ukrainian patriots with the request to financially aid the Ukrainian Armed Forces. We, MPs of Ukraine, representatives of the group Sovereign European Ukraine have decided to urgently provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with financial aid worth Hr 16 million. We urge all the MPs, businessmen, public figures and all the concerned citizens of Ukraine to answer the request for help from our army and join in this initiative,” he wrote.

The Verkhovna Rada currently has a total of 449 MPs. The Party of Regions faction has 122 members, the Batkivschyna all-Ukrainian Union faction 88, the UDAR faction 42, the Svoboda all-Ukrainian Union 36, and the Communist Party of Ukraine 32.

The Economic Development group is made up of 37 MPs, while Sovereign European Ukraine has 32. The number of independent MPs is 60.
