Deputies of the Donetsk regional council have demanded the Kyiv authorities stop forceful actions and remove armed formations from the region.

“If the current authorities are interested in preserving Ukraine,
they are obliged to move resistance back to a political level. The Kyiv
authorities should not just hear but comply with the demands posed by an
emergency meeting of all-level deputies of the Donetsk region,” Donetsk
deputies said in a statement passed at the regional council meeting on
Thursday.

“We also demand the authorities stop immediately any forceful actions
regarding Donbas, return the Ukrainian Armed Forces to their bases and
ban sending any illegal armed formations to the Donetsk regions,” the
document said.
