The hostilities have fully cut power supply to Sloviansk in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, and power supply to healthcare facilities has been disrupted in Kramatorsk, the Donetskoblenergo electricity distribution company said.

“The July 1 hostilities disabled the Donetskoblenergo 110-kV substation Sloviansk Pivnichny. As a result, the town of Sloviansk had a complete power outage and power supply to several facilities in Kramatorsk – the central city hospital, the maternity home and the surgery department – was disrupted,” the report said.

It is impossible to repair the damaged electric power systems because of the ongoing hostilities, Donetskoblenergo said.

Meanwhile, company workers are doing their best to connect the Kramatorsk healthcare facilities to a backup power source.
