English football fans have bought only 2,000 tickets for their team's matches in the group stage of Euro 2012 against France (June 11) and against Ukraine (June 19) in Donetsk, Director of International Affairs at England's Football Supporters' Federation Kevin Miles has said.

"The English Football Association sale is closed now and the tickets haven’t sold very well. I think, for the games against France and Ukraine here in Donetsk, the English FA have only sold about two thousand tickets to English fans. The remaining tickets have been returned to UEFA. So it’s still possible for the English fans to buy tickets from UEFA, but no longer from the English FA. So, the passes are still available, being on general sale from UEFA," Miles said in an interview to the press service of FC Shakhtar during his visit to Donetsk.

Miles came to the Euro 2012 host city to make the final arrangements for the English fan embassy service.
