Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski has said that there is no censorship in Ukraine, although there are problems with the expression of opinion by citizens in the media.
“Considering what I have seen here, I can say that there is no censorship and there is complete freedom of self-expression in Ukraine,” the ambassador said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
At the same time, he mentioned that there is a problem related to the possibility of citizens expressing their opinions in the media.
“Of course, you can say everything you want on YouTube. But this is not the same as access to state television and other media,” the diplomat said.
He added that the media in Ukraine are more focused on the agitation of citizens before the elections, instead of forming their opinions
