Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Oleksandr Yakymenko from the post of the head of Donetsk regional department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and appointed him as first deputy chief of the SBU and head of the main department for combating corruption and organized crime of the SBU central department.

Yanukovych signed relevant decrees on July 5, according to the president’s Web site.

Yakymenko was appointed head of the SBU branch in Donetsk regional on
August 5 2011. Prior to this he headed the SBU main department in
Sevastopol from March 2010.
