KURAKHOVE - UMG Holding, the only complex operator of waste of thermal power plants (TPPs) could be fully dispose ash and slag waste of 10 TPPs of DTEK company during 25-30 years if the economic conditions are favourable, operating director for ash and slag waste at UMG Andriy Haranin has said.
He said that in due time Poland on the peak of the economic revival could dispose own ash and slag waste during 15 years.
“If Ukraine had favourable economic condition, economic growth, in particular, in the construction sector, and relevant environmental legislation stimulating waste disposal were passed, ash and slag waste of 10 TPPs could be processed in 25-30 years,” he said at the press tour at DTEK Kurakhove TPP on Thursday.
Director of DTEK Kurakhove TPP Anatoliy Borichevsky said that Kurakhove TPP has over 60 million tonnes of waste.
