Ukraine plans to receive the first tranche of a new Stand-By Arrangement from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) not earlier than April this year, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Shlapak has said.

“In best-case scenario, we will be able to get money from the IMF not earlier than April,” he told reporters after a Cabinet meeting on Saturday.

Shlapak noted that Ukraine plans to receive funds amounting to $15 billion from the IMF for 2.5 years.
