You're reading: Flu kills 220 people in Ukraine this epidemic season

A total of 220 flu deaths confirmed by laboratories, including three minors younger than 17 and one pregnant woman, have been registered in Ukraine since the beginning of this epidemic season, according to operative data of the Ukrainian Health Ministry.

“Thirty-four cases have been identified as atypical A flu virus, two as B flu virus, and 183 as H1N1 (pdm09) flu virus. Most deaths were observed in Odesa region (38), Kharkiv region (15), Vinnytsia region (13), Zaporizh ia region (12), Cherkasy region (14), Rivne region (14) and Kyiv (14),” says a report published on the Ukrainian Health Ministry’s website on Monday.
