Foreign Ministry confirms death of two Ukrainians in air crash in Petrozavodsk

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has confirmed reports about the death of two Ukrainians in an air crash in Petrozavodsk.

"The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry confirms that two Ukrainians were killed in a plane crash in Petrozavodsk," ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

As reported, 44 people were killed and eight sustained various injuries as a result of a crash landing by a Tu-134 plane, belonging to the RusAir airline, near Petrozavodsk in the early hours of Tuesday.
