You're reading: Foreign Ministry reports one Ukrainian killed in Istanbul terrorist attacks, three injured (UPDATE)

A Ukrainian woman died in hospital from injuries received as a result of a terrorist attack at Istanbul Ataturk Airport on June 28, three more Ukrainian citizens were hospitalized, according to the Department of Consular Service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine.

“According to the updated information of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul, the casualties of the terrorist act at the Ataturk International Airport (Istanbul) among the citizens of Ukraine increased to four: one woman died in hospital from the received injuries, three other citizens (one woman and two men) are in Istanbul hospital with injuries of varying severity. Their life is now out of danger,” the department wrote on its official Facebook page on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry earlier said that a Ukrainian woman, born in 1960, and a Ukrainian man, who was injured by some piece in the leg, are among those injured.

The Ukrainian consul in Istanbul visited the injured Ukrainians at hospital, it said. The Ukrainian Consulate General is providing the necessary aid to injured fellow citizens.

As reported, suicide bombers blew themselves up at Istanbul Ataturk Airport on June 28. According to the latest information, 41 people have been killed in the terrorist attack and 239 people have been injured. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported earlier that a Ukrainian woman, born 1960, was killed in the blast, a Ukrainian man was injured in the leg.
