 2013 will open a Le Silpo premium-format store in Mandarin Plaza mall located in the Bessarabsky district in Kyiv, in the premises formerly occupied by a Furshet Gurman supermarket, First Deputy Board Chairman of private joint-stock company Mandarin Plaza, which owns the Mandarin Plaza mall, Oleksandr Chernitsky, has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“The Le Silpo store will occupy around 3,000 square meters. This is more than the area of the Furshet Gurman. We added new space,” he said.

Fozzy Group has been working in Ukraine since 1997. The group includes Silpo supermarkets, Le Silpo premium format stores, Fora convenience stores, Fozzy hypermarkets, Bila Romashka pharmaceutical supermarkets, and the ringoo personal electronics chain.

Their total goods turnover in 2012 grew by almost 25 percent, to over UAH 26.3 billion.

Private joint-stock company Mandarin Plaza, founded in 2000, invests in real estate.

In 2004, the company completed the construction of the premium-class Mandarin Plaza trade-office center in Besarabsky district in Kyiv. The investment in the complex was 35 million dollars.
