You're reading: France urges Ukraine to release victims of selective justice

France has called on the Ukrainian authorities to honor their country's international obligations and to free the victim of selective justice, reads a press release posted on the official Web site of the Foreign Ministry of France.

“France continues to call on Ukraine to respect its international commitments
and calls for the release of victims of selective justice, in particular Yulia
Tymoshenko and her three former ministers who have been convicted: Yuriy
Lutsenko, Heorhiy Filipchuk and Valeriy Ivaschenko,” the statement reads.

The daughter of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, Yevhenia,
took part in the rally in support of her jailed mother in Paris, France.

During her visit to France, Tymoshenko also met with France’s
Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights Francois Zimeray.
