MOSCOW - France expects Kyiv to pass a constitutional amendment granting special status to Donbas by the end of the first half of 2016, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said.

Speaking at a press conference following a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Tuesday, Ayrault said Kyiv must deliver on its obligations and carry out reforms, including by adopting a constitutional amendment on Donbas’s special status and an amendment on elections in Donbas.

“We hope these results will be achieved by the end of the first half of this year,” he added.
