Olexandr Polozhinskiy, frontman of popular Tartak band, is very sorry that on Dec. 1 he didn’t manage to persuade people near President’s Administration to stop attacking police, he said to Ukrainska Pravda. The crowd was all the time urged by the provocauters to be aggressive, Polozhinskiy says. Now he sees spotting paid provocauters as one of the main tasks of the protesters at Maidan Nezalezhnosti.

A dead man’s body was found near the EuroMaidan camp on the early morning of Dec. 6, writes Ukrainska Pravda. The man, looking 50-55 years old, was lying on the stairs leading to the area on top of Globus mall. Protestors tried to help him, but were too late. Police asks for help in identifying the body.

On the morning of Dec. 6 protestors have blocked the entrances to the President’s Administration, writes Unian. Another group of protestors started a “recumbent picket” next to the Prosecutor’s General office, demanding that the nine arrested suspects of organising the riot on Dec. 1 were released. Around 20 protestors lied down near the porch of the building, to show that authorities “step over people.”

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov accepted proposal by Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, who offered creating a joined committee to control investigations of the events of protestors clashes with police on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, reports Kommersant.

Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko refused to be present at the court where yet another criminal case about her is considered, writes Lb.ua quoting the official statement by the General Prosecutor’s office. Tymoshenko was imprisoned for seven years for abuse of power. Another trial, now in process, considers Tymoshenko’s United Energy Systems of Ukraine company’s financial abuse.
