European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule has said he hopes that former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko will travel to Germany for treatment by the end of November, BBC Ukraine has reported.

“I think we are close,” Fule told journalists when asked whether the ex-premier could be allowed to leave for Germany.

“I think that this will happen before the summit in Vilnius,” he said.

The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union is expected to be signed during the eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius on November 28-29.
