Kharkiv – A doctor from the German Charite Clinic will return to former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko, who is undergoing treatment at Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 in Kharkiv, on Monday, the ex-premier's defense lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko has said.

“[The German doctor is arriving] today. As far as I know it will be Lutz Harms,” Vlasenko said on Monday.

On Oct. 11, 2011, Pechersky District Court in Kyiv sentenced
Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for overstepping her authority when
signing the 2009 gas contracts with Russia. She has been serving her
sentence in Kachanivska Penal Colony in Kharkiv since late December
2011.

On May 9, Tymoshenko was transferred to Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 for treatment.

Tymoshenko’s treatment and rehabilitation process is under the supervision of doctors from Germany’s Charite Clinic.
