German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has urged the parties to the conflict in Ukraine to search for a political solution.
“Steinmeier calls on all parties in Ukraine to search for a political
solution. A return to violence does not lead to a good future,” reads a
posting on the page of the German Foreign Office on Twitter.
The minister also said that Ukrainian security services bear
responsibility for the settlement of the situation, otherwise, European
Union may reconsider its position and all in all impose sanctions on
definite persons in Ukraine.
“The security Forces have the obligation to de-escalate. EU to
reconsider restraint on sanctions against individuals,” the German
minister wrote on his page on Twitter.
