You're reading: Government creates State Fiscal Service of Ukraine

The State Fiscal Service has been created in Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a cabinet meeting in Kyiv on may 27.

The service will oversee the issues of the tax and customs policies and on June 2, 2014 the government plans to hold a meeting with the top managers of the restructured Income and Tax Ministry where their reports will be heard, Yatseniuk said.

“We’ve created the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and I’d like for on June 2 them [the top managers of the Income and Tax Ministry] to report on the fight against tax gaps and how they liquidated corruption in the customs service, or failed to liquidate it, and how we are working with business, first of all, [how] the tax agencies [are working],” the premier said.

Then we’ll make some decisions, including ones on staffing,” he said.
