The Ukrainian government is planning to allocate Hr 65 million to purchase equipment for a laboratory to determine the quality of medicines, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

The head of the Ukrainian parliament’s committee on health care, Regions Party MP Tetiana Bakhteyeva, at a government meeting on health issues on Wednesday, stressed the need to purchase the equipment.

"We’ll find Hr 65 million… Of course, we’ll resolve this issue," Azarov said.

Bakhteyeva told reporters that the laboratory was required for the State Inspectorate for Control over the Quality of Medicines.
