Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko has said providing Ukrainians with an opportunity to travel without visas all over the world is a priority task for the Foreign Ministry.

“The issue of providing our citizens with an opportunity to travel
freely all over the world is a priority for our ministry,” he said at a
briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Gryshchenko said that in 2010-2012 the ministry significantly
intensified work in this direction, signing 19 agreements with foreign
countries on the simplification of visa issuing or canceling visas for
Ukrainians. Among these countries are Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, and Kazakhstan. The same agreement has
been signed in general with the EU.

The minister expressed hope that like Cyprus, which has introduced
electronic visas for Ukrainians, other EU countries will also simplify
the procedures for issuing visas to Ukrainians, and introduce electronic
visas.
