LUHANSK - The head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has ordered the release of captures Ukrainian troops who are on the LPR territory, the Luhansk Information Center reported on Jan. 6.

“Before and in honor of Christmas, I issued an order to release the captured Ukrainian troops who are on the territory of the LPR. I am confident that the light of the start of Bethlehem and Christmas prayers will tell the Kyiv administration how to respond appropriately. We are ready to resolve all differences through negotiation, without bloodshed, without mothers’ and children’s tears,” the Christmas address posted on the website says.
