Kharkiv – A court hearing of the case on the financial irregularities of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation has been postponed until Oct. 25.

“After hearing the views of the participants in the process, the court deemed it impossible to hear the case in the absence of defendant [Yulia] Tymoshenko and her defense counsel, [Andriy] Kozhemiakin. The court hearing was adjourned until 3 p.m. on Oct. 25,” Judge Kostiantyn Sadovsky said.

Supporters of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko met the court ruling with chants “Shame!” “Freedom to Yulia!” and “Yulia is Ukraine’s Hero.”
