husband Yevhen Shevchenko, the cars outside Sapunov’s house are open,
the keys in the ignition lock,” according to a post on a social
networking site.

“Everyone who has to do with the kidnapping of our activists will be
held to personal and tough account before the people, everyone on
alert!!!! We are declaring operation Hunt,” Sapunov’s supporters said.

It was reported that pro-Russian representative Sapunov was elected as “people’s mayor” by protestors in Horlivka on April 14.

A spokesperson for the Horlivka town council said earlier on Thursday
that the council resumed work after the protestors seized the town hall
building on April 14.
