MINSK - The humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine discussed prison inmates' release at its meeting in Minsk on Dec. 15, said Martin Sajdik, the special representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

The subgroup talked about the release of prisoners, particularly sick and injured ones, and the possibility of searching for the missing persons, he told reporters in Minsk on Dec. 15.

The parties have agreed to continue talks over these issues in the near future, he added.

This process will be facilitated by information exchange between the parties and assistance by the International Committee of the Red Cross, he said.
