The Ukrainian Interior Ministry said several policemen were wounded in clashes with protesters in central Kyiv on Tuesday.

“Five policemen were wounded. Doctors have taken a bullet from
one serviceman’s body and another one is bleeding. A pistol bullet has
been removed from one serviceman’s body. Another law enforcement
official is now bleeding and doctors are trying to remove a bullet from
him,” the Interior Ministry said in a report.

According to the police, 37 law enforcement officials were hurt in the clashes.

The Maidan medical service earlier said thirty protesters had been hurt in the clashes.

TSN (1+1 television), for its part, has reported that many victims
are being taken to the city’s Clinical Hospital No. 17. According to the
report, up to twenty victims, mainly protesters, have been
hospitalized. A TSN reporter said ambulances are bringing victims to the
hospital every 5-7 minutes.
