The pre-trial investigation into the case of a bomb blast at a church in Zaporizhia has been completed, the public relations department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported on Wednesday.

"The case on the blast at a church in Zaporizhia has come to a logical end. The pre-trial investigation is over, [and] when the accused familiarize themselves with the materials of the criminal case, it will be directed to the court for consideration," reads the information.

Three persons have been charged with being behind the blast.

As reported, an explosion occurred at the Intercession Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate in Zaporizhia at around 16:30 on July 28. Nine people were injured in the blast, and an injured nun later died in hospital. Criminal cases on the blast were opened.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry said that three people were arrested on charges of being involved in setting off a bomb at the church.
