MINSK - The participants of the political subgroup discussed the issue of conducting local elections in Donbas among other issues at the meeting in Minsk, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Special Envoy at the Minsk talks Martin Sajdik told reporters.
“The issue of modality of local elections has been discussed,” Sajdik said, adding that “issues of conducting elections and the participation of political parties have been touched upon.”
Meanwhile, he voiced regret over the difficulties persisting in the issues of restoring the infrastructure of some districts in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions due to the non-stop hostilities and the threat of mines exploding.
