Finance Minister of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko has deviated from a question about her reaction to the proposal of Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius to head the government of technocrats instead of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.

“To tell the truth, I don’t want to speak about persons today. We should focus out attention not on persons, but principles,” she said on ICTV on Monday answering the question about her attitude to her possible appointment to the prime minister post.

As reported, Abromavicius, who resigned citing pressure on him, said that the political crisis in Ukraine should be used to reboot the government and form the Cabinet of technocrats alone, who will be guaranteed independence and support of the coalition, and he proposed that other persons should be replaced, including Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Abromavicius said in an interview with the Associated Press that only technocratic government could bring about greater progress and higher life standards subject to guarantees from the president and the coalition. He also said that he had suggested Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko for the premiership provided that she could select ministers freely.
